Lakes Hyundai is seeking a Parts Assistant to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis at our North Lakes QLD location. In this role, you will be the backbone of our parts department, ensuring that our service team and customers receive the correct components efficiently and professionally. This position is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of our dealership and directly impacts customer satisfaction and service delivery. You will work on-site at our North Lakes facility, supporting the Parts Manager and contributing to the overall success of our automotive service operations.

Key responsibilities

- Receiving, cataloguing, and organising vehicle parts and accessories in the parts warehouse
- Processing customer parts orders accurately and efficiently using dealership management systems
- Locating and retrieving parts from inventory to fulfil service department requests
- Managing stock levels and assisting with inventory counts and reconciliation
- Providing parts recommendations and product information to customers and service staff
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised parts department and warehouse area
- Processing returns and managing warranty claims for defective parts
- Supporting the Parts Manager with administrative tasks, including filing and data entry
- Assisting with ordering parts from suppliers and tracking deliveries
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to parts inventory and transactions

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in an automotive parts department or similar retail/warehouse environment is highly desirable
- Strong organisational and attention to detail skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency with computer systems and inventory management software,



with a willingness to learn new systems
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Physical capability to lift and handle automotive parts of varying weights
- A reliable, punctual, and professional attitude with a commitment to team collaboration
- Knowledge of vehicle parts and Hyundai products is advantageous but not essential
- Current driver's licence is preferred
- Ability to work flexibly, including potential Saturday hours as required
