Join DACSSA at an exciting time as we continue to strengthen and develop our disability advocacy services across South Australia.
DACSSA has been standing alongside South Australians with disability for more than 30 years. We are an independent, for-purpose disability advocacy organisation committed to advancing the rights, inclusion and equality of people with disability and ensuring people have a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.
This is an exciting period for DACSSA as we continue to strengthen our advocacy services, expand our community reach and build the organisational capacity that supports our work.
We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to join us during this next phase.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the CEO and Program Manager, the Office Manager oversees DACSSA's office environment and manages the corporate functions that support the effective operation of the organisation.
This is a broad and varied role spanning office operations, finance, workforce coordination, governance and compliance, information management, facilities and corporate services.
You will take responsibility for ensuring the functions within your portfolio are effectively managed, priorities are progressed and the systems and processes supporting DACSSA's work operate efficiently, effectively and safely.
Working with established systems and specialist external providers you will bring strong organisational capability, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.
The role provides an opportunity to make an important contribution to DACSSA as our services and community reach continue to develop.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for someone who enjoys responsibility and variety and is comfortable taking ownership of their portfolio.
You may already be an experienced Office Manager or have developed broad experience across corporate services or business operations and be ready to take the next step.
You'll bring:
strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities;
initiative and confidence to take ownership of outcomes;
sound judgement and practical problem-solving ability;
experience across office or corporate functions such as finance, payroll, workforce processes, governance, compliance or business services;
confidence working with external professional service providers;
strong written and verbal communication skills;
valuable systems capability, including Microsoft 365;
excellent attention to detail while maintaining sight of the broader organisational outcome; and
the ability to build effective professional relationships.
Experience in disability, advocacy, community services or the not-for-profit sector would be valuable but is not essential.
What matters is your ability to be part of a team and to ensure things happen.
Why DACSSA?
You'll be joining an established disability advocacy organisation with a strong history and a clear purpose.
This role offers genuine breadth, autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to how DACSSA operates. You'll work closely with organisational leadership, have scope to improve systems and processes and be able to see the impact of your work.
The position is 0.6 FTE (22.8 hours per week), ordinarily worked across Monday to Friday. We anticipate a work pattern of approximately 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, with the precise distribution of hours agreed with the successful applicant.
Funding and Future Opportunity
DACSSA's current Commonwealth funding arrangements extend to January 2027, with the outcome of the next funding round expected in November 2026.
Continued employment beyond the current funding period is dependent on ongoing organisational funding.
Subject to future funding and organisational requirements, there may also be an opportunity for the hours and scope of the role to grow over time.
We will be open with shortlisted candidates about the funding setting and what it may mean for the future of the position.
Employment Conditions
The position is classified at Level 4 under the SCHADS Award, with the applicable pay point determined in accordance with the Award and relevant experience.
Relevant employment screening requirements will apply.

If you're looking for a part-time role that combines responsibility, variety and purpose — and gives you scope to use your judgement and make improvements — we'd love to hear from you.
