Are you passionate about supporting individuals on their mental health journey? We’re looking for compassionate and experiencedMental Health Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Wollongong, NSW.
Your Role:
- Provide person-centred care and daily living support to individuals with mental health diagnoses.
- Encourage independence and implement tailored support plans.
- Create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment.
- Work collaboratively to manage complex behaviours and emotional needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication skills with excellent spoken and written English.
- Hands-on experience supporting individuals with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, paranoia, or complex behaviours (highly desirable).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Police check.
- NDIS Orientation Modules completion.
- Infection control certificate.
- Mental Health First Aid and Certificate in Mental Health (desirable).
- Must be available for sleepover shifts (non-negotiable).
- Fluent in English.
- Well-versed in writing & documentation shift notes/incident reports.
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team.
- String boundaries.
- Genuine passion for Support Work.
