Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking an experienced Workshop Leading Hand to join our Revesby team. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you'll lead a team of skilled technicians across New Build and Retail Repair activities, driving safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified qualified looking to grow their leadership career while remaining hands-on in a busy, high-performing workshop.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily workshop activities to maximise productivity and efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and support technicians to achieve quality and performance targets
- Monitor workflow and job progress to ensure customer deadlines are met
- Provide technical guidance and support across New Build and Retail Repair work
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on machine performance and repairs
- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across workshop operations
- Ensure high standards of workmanship, quality control, and customer service

About You

You'll bring

- Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or similar
- Experience maintaining and repairing construction, earthmoving, mining, or heavy equipment is highly regarded but not essential
- Strong commitment to safety and quality




- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, team-focused approach
