The Role

As Leading Hand, you'll take responsibility for the clean, efficient day-to-day running of your site. You'll coordinate subcontractors. You'll keep everyone safe. You'll make sure what gets delivered reflects Geyer Valmont's standard, not just the deadline. It's a role built for someone who already knows commercial fitouts, and who's ready to build toward site foreman. You'll get real mentorship, a clear next step, and a team that backs you to lead.

You Will

- Coordinate subcontractors and conduct site inductions, including SWMS
- Manage the effective use of resources on site
- Monitor and report on variations
- Manage timelines and defects to keep the site on track
- Attend meetings and prepare documentation as required

Who We Are Looking For This role will suit an experienced Leading Hand who's ready to build toward site leadership.

- Solid construction experience.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships on site.
- Confident using email and the Microsoft Office suite.
- A solid understanding of building codes and quality standards.
- Committed to your own learning and development, with a genuine interest in progressing to site foreman.
- Saturday availability may be required from time to time.
- A trade qualification (carpentry, building or similar) and experience with MS Project are both highly regarded.
