The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant work in our Melbourne Insurance practice in the professional indemnity team. Supporting a busy team you will ideally have experience in litigation and will show enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
You will be regarded as an integral member who will provide superior administrative support and a variety of ad-hoc duties.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Opening and closing of files
- Preparing correspondence
- Online court filing
- Assisting collate briefs to counsel and experts
- Billing
- File management
- Diary management
- Preparation and reconciliation of expenses
- Client liaison and management
- PA duties as required
Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidates will have Legal/Personal Assistant experience with excellent communication and diary management skills, with a client service focus. You will be proficient in MS Word and formatting, and have the ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative, and have exceptional attention to detail. A professional outlook, backed by a great sense of humour would see you fit in well with the team. The core office hours are 8.30am to 5pm, however extra hours may be required when necessary.
