Auriga Aviation is seeking suitably qualified HMPT Captains to join our Flight Operations team working from Mackay, Queensland. Reporting to the Head of Flight Operations, this position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft while maintaining compliance with CASA regulations, company procedures, and Auriga Aviation's Safety Management System.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as Captain on company-operated helicopters conducting HMPT operations from Mackay.
- Conduct helicopter operations by day, night and IFR in accordance with company procedures and CASA regulations.
- Perform pre-flight planning, aircraft inspections, navigation, and operational duties to the highest safety standards.
- Conduct marine pilot transfers and other rotorcraft operations as required under the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC).
- Support base operations and administrative activities as required.
- Maintain accurate flight logs and aircraft records.
- Actively contribute to Auriga Aviation's Safety Management System, including proactive safety reporting and risk management.
- Participate in recurrent training, checking, and professional development programs to maintain operational proficiency.





Minimum Qualifications and Experience

- Current Australian ATPL(H) or CPL(H).
- Current CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrated proficiency operating in IMC and night environments.
- Extensive understanding of CASA regulations and aviation operational compliance requirements.
- Ability to undertake operational shifts in accordance with the responsibilities of an HMPT Line Captain residential in Mackay.
- 2000 hours Total Time Helicopter
- 1500 hours PIC Helicopter
- 500 hours ME Helicopter
- 150 hours Instrument Flight Time
- 150 hours Night Flight Time
- Type Rating EC135 or BK117 D-2
