About the Prospect

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical & Instrumentation SCADA Technicianto join our System Operations team. In this hands‑on role, you will support the construction, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of critical electrical and instrumentation systems that enable the secure and efficient operation of our gas distribution network.

You will work across a diverse range of assets including pressure regulating stations, industrial and commercial metering systems, and associated equipment such as water bath heaters. Your work with telemetry and SCADA systems will play a key role in ensuring network reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, commission,



and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment including RTUs, SCADA systems, transmitters, data loggers, and correctors
- Perform maintenance and construction activities on telemetry and electronic systems across network assets
- Diagnose faults, investigate equipment failures, and implement effective corrective actions
- Support preventative maintenance strategies to minimise plant and equipment failures
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, procedures, materials, and equipment
- Build strong, proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate effectively

About You

- A Grade Electrical Licence and current Class A Electrical Workers Licence (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a qualified electrical tradesperson in an industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience with electrical, instrumentation, SCADA systems, and Remote Terminal Units (RTUs)
- Proven ability to diagnose faults, respond to breakdowns, and apply technical problem‑solving skills
- Strong computer literacy, including use of SCADA systems and workplace communication tools
- Sound knowledge of Australian/international electrical standards, with a strong commitment to safety and compliance
