XL Precast is a busy and expanding precast concrete manufacturer based in Smithfield, NSW. We specialise in high-quality precast elements for commercial, industrial and civil projects across New South Wales. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our production team on a casual basis.
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Crane Operator to join our team on a casual basis. This role involves operating cranes safely and efficiently within a busy precast/manufacturing environment while working closely with production and yard teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys early starts and is looking for consistent work.
- Casual position
- Competitive hourly rate of $40 - $45 per hour
- Monday to Saturday work schedule
- Early morning start time of 3:30 AM
- Typical shifts of 10-12 hours per day
- Supportive team workplace
- Ongoing work for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities
- Operate overhead, gantry, or mobile cranes safely and efficiently
- Lift, move, and position precast concrete products and materials
- Conduct pre-start equipment inspections
- Follow site safety procedures and lifting plans
- Work closely with production personnel and supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Complete required operational documentation
- Undertake other reasonable duties as directed from time to time
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current High Risk Work License (Crane)
- Previous crane operating experience
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transport and punctuality
- Ability to work early starts and extended shifts when required
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Commitment to workplace safety
Previous precast concrete experience will be highly regarded.
