- Sewer Testing Crewman

About us: With an extensive footprint on contract work and clients extending from Geraldton to Albany for over 12 years, Pyramids Plumbing is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Machine Operators / Drainers / Sewer Testing Crewman to join our growing Civil Construction team, to help deliver upon all Company projects, operations, and planned works in a professional and timely manner.

About the Roles:

You will play a key role in supporting our plumbing and civil construction projects by ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Successful candidates will work closely with supervisors, operators, and field crews across a variety of commercial, civil, and infrastructure projects.

Works will include operating company plant, machinery, and equipment, as well as undertake manual labouring tasks as required in the completion of company projects, operations, and planned work.

Machine Operator

- Operate excavators and other plant equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform trenching, excavation, and site preparation works.
- Complete pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance.
- Work closely with ground crews to ensure protected project delivery.

Drainer Pipe Layer

- Install stormwater, sewer, and drainage systems.
- Read and interpret plans and levels.
- Lay and connect pipes accurately to specification.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Sewer Testing Crewman

- Conduct sewer and drainage testing activities.
- Assist with CCTV inspections and commissioning works.




- Complete testing records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

About you:

- Experience in a similar role within the plumbing, civil, or construction industry is a plus but not essential—we encourage candidates with any level of qualification to apply.
- Construction Induction Card
- Knowledge and experience in the civil/construction industry.
- Qualifications and experience in operating plant and machinery.
- HR Truck Licence: Desirable, but not essential
- Excavator Ticket / License: Desirable, but not essential
- Excellent communication and customer service skills – the ability to effectively listen and convey information to varying audiences (customers, co-workers, managers, etc.).
- Accountability to meet project objectives and constraints (get the job done), considering Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and cost-efficient processes to meet Company requirements.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to delivering workarounds and problem-solving solutions on the job.
- A positive and proactive ‘can do' attitude.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills
- The ability to get involved, whilst also contributing to a dynamic team environment.
