About the Role As the Manager, Ministerial Executive Services, you will join our Aboriginal Affairs group within the Office of the Deputy Secretary branch. Responsible for leading a dedicated team to deliver high-quality Ministerial, Executive and Cabinet services across Aboriginal Affairs NSW.
Reporting to the Deputy Secretary you will provide strategic advice, coordinate complex priorities and strengthen planning, monitoring and reporting to support effective governance and organisational outcomes. Working closely with senior executives, government agencies and Aboriginal stakeholders, you will build trusted relationships, navigate competing priorities and ensure Aboriginal voices and perspectives inform advice and decision-making.

We’re looking for
- Ministerial and Cabinet Expertise: Strong understanding of Ministerial, Parliamentary and Cabinet processes, with the ability to prepare high-quality briefs, submissions and correspondence.
- Strategic Leadership, Governance and Stakeholder Engagement: Lead Ministerial, Executive and Cabinet services while building strong relationships with the Minister's Office, executives and key stakeholders to provide timely, high-quality advice, briefings and reports, and ensure effective governance, policy coordination and informed decision-making.
- People Leadership and Capability: An experienced leader who can motivate, coach and develop a small high-performing team while managing competing priorities, workload performance and wellbeing to deliver organisational outcomes.
- Resilience and Sound Judgement: Remains calm under pressure, manages changing priorities and tight deadlines, and provides frank and balanced advice when required.
- Commitment to Aboriginal Outcomes: Demonstrates cultural capability and a genuine understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, with a commitment to improving outcomes for communities.
