Direct Scaffold Supplies is seeking experienced Guardrail & Hang-On Installers to join our team on a casual basis. This is a hands-on installation role based in Archerfield, QLD, where you'll be responsible for the safe and qualified installation of guardrails and hang-on systems across various construction and industrial projects. This position is critical to ensuring workplace safety compliance and delivering high-quality results to our clients. We offer competitive pay rates for experienced installers who can work independently and as part of a team.
Key responsibilities
Install guardrails and hang-on systems to Australian Safety Standards and client specifications
Conduct site assessments and prepare installation plans prior to commencing work
Inspect materials and equipment to ensure quality and compliance before installation
Follow all health and safety protocols, including working at heights procedures and fall arrest systems
Maintain accurate records of installations and complete required documentation
Communicate effectively with site supervisors, clients and team members to ensure project timelines are met
Identify and report any safety hazards or defects on site
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on guardrail systems as required
Transport and store equipment and materials safely and efficiently
What we're looking for
Proven experience installing guardrails and/or hang-on systems in the building trades or construction industry
Valid Working at Heights qualification or equivalent
Strong knowledge of Australian Safety Standards relevant to fall protection systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in guardrail installation
A current driver's licence and reliable transportation to job sites
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Strong health and safety awareness and a proven track record of safe work practices
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights in various weather conditions
Holds a construction industry White Card or similar induction certification
Experience with scaffold systems or related trades is advantageous
