Project Manager – Mechanical / Engineering Beresfield | $95 per hour + super | Casual | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity n

Our client is a leading global engineering and manufacturing organisation with a strong presence across the mining, minerals processing and industrial sectors. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Beresfield Service Centre.

This is an excellent temp-to-permanent opportunity for an experienced project professional looking to take ownership of mechanical and engineering projects, initially supporting the delivery of significant Sydney Water projects .

About the Role n

Reporting directly to the Service Centre Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion.

n

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is experienced, commercially astute and comfortable taking ownership across project controls, contract administration, commercial management, client relationships and delivery.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Manage project programmes, schedules and delivery milestones
n
- Coordinate project documentation and document control
n
- Generate, coordinate and track QA documentation
n
- Support safety documentation and compliance requirements
n
- Manage cash flow forecasting and project cost tracking
n
- Prepare monthly progress claims and supporting substantiation
n
- Manage delay notifications, variations and contractual claims
n
- Coordinate subcontractors and monitor performance
n
- Manage supplier compliance and onboarding
n
- Provide contract administration and commercial support
n
- Support site mobilisation, accommodation and logistics planning
n
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients
n




- Coordinate closely with internal engineering, manufacturing and site teams
n
- Attend project sites as required, typically 2-4 visits per month
n

About You n

You will be an experienced Project Manager or Project Engineer with a robust background in mechanical engineering, industrial projects or heavy engineering .

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Proven experience managing engineering or mechanical projects
n
- Strong project scheduling and project controls experience
n
- Commercial and contract administration experience
n
- Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers
n
- Experience with progress claims, cost tracking, variations and contractual matters
n
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of project outcomes
n

Highly Regarded Experience Experience in the following environments will be highly advantageous: nn
- Mechanical engineering
n
- Water utilities or infrastructure
n
- Mining or mineral processing
n
- Heavy engineering or manufacturing
n
- Capital equipment / engineered-to-order projects
n

n

Experience with SAP and MS Project or similar scheduling software will also be highly regarded.
