Mechanical Engineer (ANZSCO 233512) Full time/Permanent $80,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation (salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience) Position Overview: Engenuity Engineering Pty Ltd is a Western Australian civil and structural engineering consultancy and registered building contractor. Engenuity requires a Mechanical Engineer to support its expansion into factory-based modular construction. The position will develop production processes, equipment, tooling, handling systems and mechanical interfaces to improve safety, efficiency, reliability and the transport and installation of manufactured building components.

Duties and Responsibilities: *Plan, design and develop mechanical and production-engineering solutions for Engenuity’s manufacturing operations.

*Analyse manufacturing processes and implement improvements to efficiency, safety, repeatability and ergonomics.

*Design or specify jigs, fixtures, tooling, handling aids and specialised production equipment.

*Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, equipment layouts, drawings and reports.

*Undertake mechanical engineering analysis of the machinery, equipment and handling systems used to move, lift, support and transport manufactured modules and components, coordinating structural verification with Engenuity’s civil and structural engineers where required.

*Support the selection, installation,



testing and commissioning of factory plant and production equipment.

*Develop preventive-maintenance and reliability requirements to improve equipment availability and performance.

*Investigate equipment failures, production constraints and recurring defects and develop effective technical modifications.

*Coordinate mechanical services, equipment access, penetrations, supports and installation interfaces within modular assemblies.

*Review designs for manufacturability, assembly, transportation, installation, operation and ongoing maintenance.

*Ensure mechanical solutions comply with engineering standards, safety requirements and project specifications, and prepare testing and commissioning procedures.

*Provide technical support to production and quality teams, liaise with suppliers and contractors, and maintain controlled engineering records.

Qualifications and Experience: *AQF Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.

*At least one year of relevant professional mechanical engineering experience.

*Experience in manufacturing processes, mechanical or process plant, production equipment, tooling or materials-handling systems is required.

*Demonstrated experience in modular construction, prefabrication, off-site manufacturing or other modern methods of construction is highly desirable.
