We are seeking a hands-on Operator Maintainer with a Mechanical Fitter trade qualification to join our tailings reclamation and reprocessing team. This is a physically active, site-based role combining mobile plant operation with practical mechanical maintenance support in a fast-paced mining environment.
Role Overview In this role, you will operate key equipment used in tailings reprocessing while also carrying out day-to-day mechanical maintenance and breakdown support across the circuit. You will be directly involved in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently, supporting production targets and recovery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mobile and fixed plant equipment including skid steers and tailings delivery systems
- Support operation of tailings cannons and associated pipeline infrastructure
- Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and basic repairs on pumps, pipelines, and ancillary equipment
- Assist with installation, relocation, and stripping of pipework and pumping systems
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and contribute to shutdown activities
- Ensure secure work practices, compliance with site procedures, and high housekeeping standards
- Support barricading, set-up, and general site maintenance activities as required
About You
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding, outdoor environment
- Previous exposure to mining, processing plants, civil, agriculture, or heavy industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance or mobile plant environments
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (essential)
- Hands-on, practical operator who enjoys varied work across both operations and maintenance
- Safety-focused with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Requirements
