About the Role

We are currently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our growing workshop team across three key trade and workshop-based positions, located in Berkeley Vale: Mechanical Tradesperson, Trade Assistant, and Fabricator/Welder.

Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you will contribute to the assembly, fabrication, maintenance and production of quality products while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Tradesperson

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and mechanical layouts

- Perform mechanical fitting, assembly and maintenance activities to a high standard

- Assemble and install components, including bearings, shafts, gears, chain, sprockets, motors, gearboxes and transmission assemblies

- Carry out fault finding, repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment

- Work with hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems

Trade Assistant

- Assist qualified trades personnel with general workshop activities

- Support fabrication, welding and assembly tasks as directed

- Perform cutting, deburring, weld clean-up and material preparation duties

- Operate hand tools, power tools, air tools, presses and workshop machinery

Fabricator/Welder

- Assist with fabrication and welding activities in accordance with drawings, specifications and company standards

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications

- Carry out fabrication and welding tasks while maintaining quality workmanship





- Safely operate welding equipment, machinery and workshop tools

What We're Looking For

Mechanical Tradesperson

- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Maintenance Fitter or equivalent

- Experience in mechanical fitting, assembly and maintenance within an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

- Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, transmission systems and drive systems

- Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical motor systems

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements

Trade Assistant

- Previous experience within a workshop, manufacturing, fabrication or industrial environment preferred

- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment

- Basic welding experience highly regarded

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team environment

- Good understanding of safe work practices

- Physically capable of performing manual workshop duties

Fabricator/Welder

- Relevant trade qualification in Fabrication, Boiler making, Welding or related discipline

- Experience or strong interest in metal fabrication, welding and engineering work

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

- Sound mechanical aptitude and practical workshop skills

- Commitment to workplace health and safety

- Solid attention to detail and quality workmanship

- Reliable, motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
