Positions:

GBE Maintenance Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic to join our team on the West Coast of Tasmania. This is a varied, hands-on role providing mechanical services across GBE’s own fleet as well as client-owned vehicles, plant and equipment. You will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of machinery and vehicles, including:

- JLG and Haulotte height access equipment;

- Liebherr and Terex cranes;

- Volvo, Iveco and Isuzu trucks;

- JCB telehandlers;

- A fleet of light vehicles, including Toyota Landcruiser’s, Toyota Hilux’s, Ford Rangers and other makes and models;

- A variety of smaller plant and equipment.

The successful applicant will be involved in servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, with work ranging from routine workshop maintenance through to more complex mechanical repairs.





From time to time, the position will also involve breakdown response and field service work at client sites and other locations across the West Coast.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and is committed to delivering safe, reliable and high-quality mechanical services.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

- Trade qualification;

- HR Licence desirable;

- High Risk Work Licence - forklift and EWP desirable;

- AC Licence (desirable)

- Ability to meet the physical demands of a labour-intensive role;

- Ability to produce high-quality mechanical work accurately and with minimal supervision;

- Valid C Class driver’s licence;

- Dedicated commitment to safety and quality assurance

- Well presented, punctual and reliable

- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- A keen eye for detail and presentation;

- Self-motivated and strong work ethic

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing DAS

- Experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
