An prospect has become available for a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly, supportive and experienced team at Huon Doctors Surgery. The position is on a Casual basis (up to 20 hours per week with Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon availability essential).

We are looking for a someone who can think laterally and has the ability to work both independently when required and cohesively within a team environment. The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated with a sound background in customer service and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and industry.

Proficient computer skills are essential with a knowledge of medical software including Best Practice desirable.

Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Excellent customer service – you will be the first point of contact for our patients, in person and on the phone

- Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records

- Processing payments, Medicare and third-party claims and reconciliations

- Effective management of patient appointment types

- General administration and daily office duties





- Duties as required by Doctors and the Practice Manager

- Previous Medical Reception experience would be an advantage, however not essential

- Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information
