Maintenance & Grounds Officer - Retirement Living

We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance & Grounds Officer to support the upkeep of our Immanuel Gardens Retirement Living community, ensuring facilities, gardens and shared spaces are safe, functional and well presented.

Location: Buderim - QLDRole Type: Part-Time (60 hrs fortnight) | Tuesday to Friday | 7:30 am to 3:36 pm
Remuneration: $29.45 - $31.11 ph + Supe + Salary Packaging + Staff discounts & benefits

About The Role

In this hands-on role, you’ll manage the day-to-day maintenance of buildings, gardens, and grounds, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and well-kept.

Key responsibilities include:

- General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areas
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and external cleaning
- Identifying and reporting new risks while working to minimise existing ones.
- Undertaking administrative tasks related to maintenance operations.
- Managing external contractors and minor building projects
- Using equipment and materials safely and responsibly
- Your work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Gardening experience essential; aged care or retirement living experience desirable

About You

- Experience in commercial maintenance and groundskeeping within an aged care setting or a similar environment.




- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedules
- A team player with a proactive attitude,proven ability to demonstrate a customer service focus.
- Valid Police Check and Queensland Driver’s Licence
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance
