Hunter Sports Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Men's Artistic Gymnastics Coach to join our growing gymnastics team. This role offers the opportunity to work across recreational,

development, and competitive programs while helping athletes reach their full potential in a supportive and child-safe environment.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Sports Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for coaching gymnasts across a variety of programs including:

- Men's Artistic Gymnastics squads
- Development squads
- Recreational gymnastics programs
- School gymnastics programs
- Competition coaching and athlete development
- Program administration and planning

This position plays an important role in supporting both participation and performance pathways, helping athletes build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of gymnastics.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging,



structured and safe gymnastics coaching sessions.
- Coach athletes within recreational, development and competitive programs.
- Support athlete progression through established gymnastics pathways.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and welcoming environment for participants and families.
- Uphold child-safe practices and organisational policies at all times.
- Assist with equipment setup, safety checks and pack down.
- Attend gymnastics competitions as a coach and/or judge.
- Maintain attendance records and participant communication.
- Contribute to program planning, skill progression and program improvements.
- Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and staff.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

About You You are an energetic and experienced gymnastics coach who enjoys working with athletes and developing the next generation of coaches. You are organised, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality programs.

You are passionate about coaching and committed to creating exceptional experiences for young athletes.

Essential Requirements

- Current Gymnastics Australia Men's Artistic Gymnastics Coaching Accreditation (Advanced Coach or

higher).
- Experience coaching children in recreational and/or competitive gymnastics environments.




- Strong commitment to child safety and inclusive coaching practices.
- Current NSW Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

- Experience in program planning, coordination and administration.
- Experience mentoring or developing coaches.
- Judging qualifications or willingness to obtain.
- Experience coaching competitive Men's Artistic Gymnastics athletes.

Hours of Work: The nature of this position will require work times and hours to meet the needs of the organisation including weekends, evenings, and split shifts. This will be discussed in greater detail during the interview process.
