LS Trading Mechanical & Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic (General) to join our team in a full-time permanent position. The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to a high professional and safety standard.

Role Details

Position: Full-Time Motor Mechanic (General)

Location: LS Trading Mechanical & Engineering Pty Ltd

Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum superannuation

Key Responsibilities

- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and inspecting parts for wear or damage.




- Repairing and replacing worn or defective parts and reassembling mechanical components in accordance with service manuals and manufacturer specifications.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups.
- Reassembling engines and vehicle components after repairs have been completed.
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper performance and safe operation.
- Diagnosing and testing vehicle systems and components with the assistance of computers and diagnostic equipment.
- Inspecting vehicles and identifying work required to achieve safe and roadworthy operating condition.
- Responding to vehicle breakdowns and carrying out repairs where required.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop and complying with workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience

- Proven experience working as a Motor Mechanic.
- Relevant trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of motor vehicles.
- Ability to use automotive diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
