About the position:

To construct and/or maintain Council’s road network and other assets to required service level standards through the provision of skilled Plant operations and Labourer support. This position will operate a range of plant such as Grader, Roller, Excavator, Loader, Backhoe, Skidsteer and undertake general labouring duties.

Key responsibilities

- Operate graders and other plant to construct and maintain Council’s road network.
- Carry out final trim operations, including laser-guided grading where required.
- Maintain roads, table drains, guides and roadside furniture to required standards.
- Safely operate, service and maintain Council plant, equipment and machinery.
- Complete plant maintenance, operational records and documentation in line with Council requirements.
- Provide skilled plant operation for road repairs, renewals and upgrades.
- Undertake general labouring, worksite preparation and clean-up duties.
- Assist with traffic control signage and worksite setup.
- Work collaboratively with Council teams to meet service level requirements.
