Through our international network of collection societies, industry partners, and digital platforms, we help music creators and rights holders protect, manage, and monetise their music rights worldwide.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Music Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our music distribution and publishing operations.

About the RoleGaan Baksho Group is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Music Operations Coordinator to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.

This is an operational administration role supporting the daily workflow of our music distribution and publishing services. The role is best suited to someone who has already worked within a music company, record label, music distribution company, music publishing company, artist services business, or similar music industry environment.

The successful candidate will take ownership of key day-to-day administration tasks, including inbox management, client communication, release coordination, metadata quality checks, internal team coordination, task tracking, and general operational follow-up.

This is not a general office administration role. We are specifically looking for someone who understands the importance of accuracy, organisation, communication, and attention to detail within music distribution, music publishing, catalogue administration, and client service.

This is a work-from-home role, working 3 days per week from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour unpaid break.

Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:

- Monitor company emails and respond to client and business enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Draft, review, and send email responses relating to music distribution, publishing, royalties, client onboarding, release queries, and general administration.
- Manage daily administrative follow-ups and help keep business operations organised.




- Coordinate with internal team members to follow up on outstanding tasks, client requests, documents, release information, metadata, and operational updates.
- Support the day-to-day administration of music distribution services.
- Review client-submitted release information, including artist names, track titles, featured artists, release dates, audio files, artwork, songwriter details, label details, credits, and metadata.
- Conduct quality control checks to identify missing, incomplete, inconsistent, or unclear information before release processing.
- Maintain release trackers, client records, catalogue spreadsheets, task lists, and internal admin systems.
- Assist with organising publishing-related information, including songwriter details, composer details, lyricist details, ownership information, splits, and supporting documents.
- Support the preparation and review of client onboarding information.
- Coordinate task updates between distribution, publishing, marketing, and management.
- Prepare simple internal summaries, task updates, and progress notes as required.
- Assist with one approved social media post per week for company pages.
- Assist with one monthly email marketing campaign, newsletter, or client update.
- Support basic content coordination for announcements, service updates, client education posts, release reminders, and music industry updates.
- Escalate urgent, sensitive, technical, legal, royalty, copyright, or payment-related matters to management.
- Maintain professional, accurate, and confidential communication at all times.

Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a music company or music industry business.
- Has strong operational administration skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Understands music distribution, music publishing, release administration, metadata, catalogue management, or artist/label services.
- Can take ownership of daily admin tasks and keep matters moving without constant reminders.
- Is confident writing clear, skilled,



and grammatically correct emails.
- Can manage an inbox, prioritise tasks, and follow up matters in an organised way.
- Is comfortable working from home and managing their time independently.
- Can work across spreadsheets, online platforms, email systems, shared drives, and task trackers.
- Is careful with names, dates, spelling, metadata, documents, client records, and release information.
- Can follow internal processes and checklists accurately.
- Is comfortable communicating with artists, labels, clients, team members, and management.
- Can identify when information is missing, inconsistent, or requires clarification.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality, accuracy, and professional communication.
- Is reliable, responsive, and comfortable working in a growing music company environment.

- Music distribution administration
- Music publishing administration
- Record label administration
- Artist or label services
- Rights management or royalty administration
- Metadata checking or catalogue administration
- Release coordination
- Client support or inbox management within a music company
- Digital platform, DSP, or release delivery coordination
- Email marketing or newsletter coordination
- Social media scheduling or business page administration
- CRM, spreadsheet, or task management systems

Role Details
- Permanent part-time position
- 3 days per week
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour unpaid break
- 21 paid hours per week
- Work from home
- $36 per hour + superannuation
- Regular working days to be agreed
- Suitable for someone with previous music company experience who is seeking a stable part-time operations role within the music industry
