We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to provide ongoing assistance to a 33-year-old male NDIS participant living in Westmead, NSW 2145.

The participant has mild intellectual disability, ADHD and bipolar disorder and requires a consistent support worker to assist primarily with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and support with everyday independence.

The participant values a worker who is patient, calm, respectful and culturally sensitive, and with whom he can develop a consistent and positive working relationship.

Hours

Wednesday: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Friday: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Total: Approximately 6 hours per week

Location: Westmead NSW 2145

Frequency: Ongoing weekly shifts

Applicants should ideally be available for both regular shifts each week.

Key Responsibilities The role may include:

- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Supporting personal routines and daily living skills
- Assistance with meal preparation where required
- Support with household tasks and maintaining a safe living workplace
- Encouraging independence and choice
- Providing prompting and assistance with routines
- Community access where required
- Providing appropriate social and emotional support
- Maintaining professional boundaries
- Completing progress/case notes following shifts

About You We are looking for a support worker who is:
- Patient and respectful
- Calm and able to communicate effectively
- Reliable and punctual
- Experienced in supporting people with intellectual disability and/or psychosocial disability




- Comfortable supporting a participant with ADHD and bipolar disorder
- Culturally sensitive and able to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds
- Committed to person-centred and recovery-oriented support
- Available Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Relevant disability/community support experience
- Appropriate Australian working rights
- Ability to provide required worker compliance documents
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle preferred

Qualifications in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health, Community Services or a related field will be highly regarded. Location The participant is located in Westmead NSW 2145. Applicants living in Westmead, Parramatta, Wentworthville, Merrylands, Granville or nearby Western Sydney suburbs are particularly encouraged to apply.
