Role Description The New Graduate Occupational Therapist will provide client-centered occupational therapy services to neurodivergent children, young people, and adults using a neurodiversity-affirming framework. Day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, developing and implementing therapy plans, facilitating individual and group sessions, and documenting clinical notes in line with professional standards. The role involves collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals, as well as contributing to workshops and community education activities where appropriate.

The therapist will participate in regular weekly supervision, reflective practice,



and ongoing career development to build skills and confidence as an early-career practitioner. This is a part-time, on-site role located at our clinic in Perth, WA.

Qualifications

- Completed or near-completed accredited degree in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for registration with the relevant professional board or authority.
- Foundational knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming practice, sensory processing, and strengths-based approaches, with a commitment to continual learning in these areas.
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop client-centered intervention plans, and deliver individual and group therapy in a respectful, collaborative manner.
- Strong communication skills, including clear written documentation, professional verbal communication, and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families.
- Organisational and time-management skills to manage a part-time caseload, maintain accurate records, and follow clinical and ethical guidelines.
- Openness to supervision, reflective practice, and feedback, with a growth mindset and willingness to develop clinical skills as a new graduate.
- Comfort working in an on-site clinical environment and collaborating within a multidisciplinary or team-based setting.
- Current or ability to obtain necessary checks and clearances (e.g., working with children check, national police clearance) as required by local regulations.
