Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, AIN

Independent Nurses Australia is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, AIN to support a young person with complex care needs in their home in Tweed Heads, NSW.

This is a casual, in office role with an immediate start available. Shifts are expected to be approximately 7:00am–4:00pm on school days, with exact times still being confirmed.

About the role

You will provide safe, respectful and person-centred clinical support in accordance with the participant’s care plan and individual needs.

Your responsibilities will include

- PEG feeding and associated care
- Hoist transfers and manual handling
- PRN oral suction
- Monitoring the participant’s wellbeing and responding appropriately to changes
- Completing accurate clinical notes and documentation
- Communicating respectfully with the participant, their family and the wider care team
- Supporting the participant’s comfort, dignity, safety and independence

About you

We are looking for someone who is calm, reliable and confident supporting a young person with complex care needs.





Paediatric nursing or paediatric disability-support experience is highly regarded.

The successful applicant will require:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or relevant qualification
- Relevant experience with PEG feeding, hoist transfers and oral suction
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current WWCC (Blue Card), or willing to obtain
- Australian working rights
- A current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Strong communication and clinical-documentation skills
- A commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed and culturally safe care

- Registered Nurse base rate: $53 per hour
