Blaster and Painters are responsible for abrasive blasting, surface preparation and spray painting of components and equipment. The role ensures products meet company quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities n
n
- Perform abrasive blasting of components and equipment.
n
- Prepare surface through sanding, masking, cleaning and priming.
n
- Mix and apply primers, base coats and top coats.
n
- Operate spray painting equipment safely and efficiently.
n
- Conduct quality inspections and touch up as required.
n
- Maintain a clean and organised work station.
n
- Assist and support other team when required.
n
- Comply with Company policies and procedures.
n
Skills and Experience nn
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Blaster Painter or similar role in the painting/surface preparation industry is preferred.
n
- Knowledge in paint preparation and application technique.
n
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application is preferred but not essential.
n
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating is preferred but not essential.
n
- Strong attention to details and commitment to quality.
n
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
n
- Strong communication skills.
n
- Reliable and strong work ethics.
n
