Western Downs Digital Park

Western Downs Digital Park is a major new hyperscale data centre campus at Kogan in Queensland. This is an opportunity to help establish the operating organisation, systems and service culture for a critical new digital infrastructure asset from the ground up.

The role The Operations Readiness Manager will own the transition from project delivery into safe, stable operations across the initial campus and future expansion phases. You will represent operations throughout design, commissioning, handover and mobilisation, making sure that people, procedures, systems, assets and governance are ready before live operation begins.

This is a central interface role across Operations, Design, Development, Commissioning, Finance, Legal, supply chain and external vendors. It suits someone who can hold the full readiness picture while driving the detailed actions required for day-one success.

What you will lead

- The operational readiness plan, master schedule, readiness gates and acceptance milestones for each campus phase.
- Operations input into design reviews, commissioning plans, integrated systems testing and asset handover.




- Handover of manuals, vendor training, licences, spares, certifications and asset information.
- Development of SOPs, methods of procedure, emergency procedures and critical-setting governance.
- Asset register and CMMS mobilisation, maintenance strategies and spares readiness.

- The site training matrix, competency framework, readiness drills and authorisation of operations personnel.

What you will bring You will have led complex operational mobilisations or transitions in a critical environment. Your experience may come from data centres, major infrastructure, industrial operations, transport, utilities, defence or another environment where safe handover and operational assurance are essential.

- At least five years of relevant operational mobilisation or readiness experience.
- The ability to work across engineering, construction, commissioning and operational teams.
- Strong programme management, risk management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- An understanding of asset information, maintenance systems, procedures and competency assurance.
- The judgement to challenge readiness gaps and drive them to closure before operational acceptance.
- A relevant engineering, facilities, operations or trade background is desirable.
