Centre Director | Early Childhood

n

Lead a high-quality early learning centre in Melbourne's south-east. Inspire educators, build strong teams, and drive quality outcomes for children.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Centre Director to lead a beautiful, modern, purpose-built Early Learning Centre located in the Melbourne's south-east, in the Oakleigh area.

n

This service provides high-quality long day care and funded kindergarten programs for children from nursery through to kindergarten age, with a strong focus on nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young learners. The centre features thoughtfully designed indoor learning environments and engaging outdoor play spaces that encourage exploration, discovery, and play-based learning.

The educational philosophy is inspired by child-led learning approaches, where environments and experiences are carefully designed to support creativity, collaboration, and inquiry. The service prides itself on creating a warm, inclusive, and community-focused environment for children, families, and educators.

About the Role As Centre Director, you will play a key role in establishing the centre's culture, team, and operational success.

n

You will:

n

n
- Recruit, mentor and develop a strong team of educators
n
- Build positive relationships with families and the local community
n
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and regulatory requirements
n
- Drive high-quality educational programs aligned with the EYLF
n
- Oversee centre operations including enrolments, staffing, and occupancy growth
n
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture
n

n





About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

n

n
- Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent) or Diploma with significant leadership experience
n
- Previous experience as a Centre Director
n
- Strong understanding of the NQF, NQS, and EYLF
n
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
n
- Experience preparing for and managing Assessment & Rating
n
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality outcomes for children and families
n
