Swift Transport is seeking owner-drivers to join our rapidly expanding network. We partner with skilled owner-drivers looking to build a long-term business, offering immediate access to high-volume, secure work backed by multiple newly won, long-term commercial contracts. Highly competitive, transparent hourly rates are tiered dynamically to reward larger vehicles and specialized equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate vehicles (Utes, Flat Tops/Trays, Tautliners, and all Crane Trucks) for transport and logistics work
- Maintain strict safety adherence and professional site presentation
- Ensure punctual arrivals and clear communication
- Comply with load restraint requirements and proper securing of cargo using heavy securing gear
- Maintain roadworthy, well-maintained vehicles
About you
- Active ABN/ACN and appropriate commercial vehicle & personal insurances
- Valid Australian Driver's License relevant to your vehicle class
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Load Restraint Certification (highly regarded)
- Valid Crane/Hiab license with practical operational experience (highly regarded)
- Strong familiarity with NHVR and Chain of Responsibility (COR) compliance (highly regarded)
- Proficiency with heavy securing gear (straps, chains, dogs, and edge protection) on industrial sites (highly regarded)
- Vehicle specifications: Utes (minimum tray dimensions 2.40m L x 1.80m W), Flat Tops/Trays (minimum width 2.40m), or Crane Trucks (Hiab) front or rear mount, Standard Rigids and Tautliners with or without tailgates.
