Paid Intern Sales Estimator – Construction Student (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Location: Unanderra, NSW (office based, with site visits across Wollongong, Sydney and regional NSW)

We secure substations, correctional facilities, data centres, hospitals, stadiums and renewable energy farms across NSW and QLD. The Opportunity

We're looking for a university student currently studying construction who wants real industry experience while they study. Relevant courses include Construction Management, Building, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar.

You'll work alongside our estimators and project manager on live tenders and projects for some of the biggest builders in the country. You'll learn how commercial jobs are scoped, priced, won and delivered.

We're flexible on hours. Full-time or part-time, we'll work around your uni timetable.

What You'll Be Doing

- Reading plans and measuring up jobs, including rakes and angles
- Helping prepare quotes and tender submissions
- Getting out on site to measure up and see projects being built
- Keeping our labour and material cost database up to date
- Preparing basic project drawings and client documents
- Supporting the team through the tender process, from enquiry to purchase order




- Following up with clients on quotes and enquiries

What We're Looking For

- Currently studying construction, building, engineering or a related field (full-time or part-time)
- A genuine interest in estimating, project management or commercial construction
- Good with numbers and a sharp eye for detail
- Able to read, or keen to learn to read, construction plans
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Confident using computers, including Excel, Outlook and PDF software
- Reliable, organised and able to manage your time between work and study
- Current driver's licence

Bonus (not essential)

- Any hands-on trade experience, such as fencing, landscaping or labouring
- Exposure to estimating or take-off software
- White Card

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
