Diamond Blast are seeking a skilled and motivated Painting Trades Worker and extremely motivated and who is ready to contribute to a variety of projects in the construction and maintenance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
- Apply paint, coatings, and finishes to a range of surfaces including walls, ceilings, and external structures to maintain and/or decorate.
- Mix paints and coatings to achieve the correct consistency and color.
- Apply protective coatings to surfaces to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness on the job site.
- Follow detailed instructions for painting and finishing as required by the project specifications.
- Work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring efficient completion of tasks.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating 1 years work experience or 3 years relevant full time work experience.
- Solid attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and application techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and on ladders when required.
- Experience working with protective coatings and finishes is a plus.
- Valuable communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including commercial, residential, and industrial settings.
