Livlor Group is seeking an experienced and qualified Panelbeater to join our team in Tullamarine.
This is a full time permanent position for an experienced Panelbeater who can assess vehicle body damage, carry out structural and panel repairs, replace damaged components and restore vehicles to a high standard.
Key Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assessing vehicle body damage and determining appropriate repair methods.
- Removing damaged panels and components and repairing or replacing them as required.
- Straightening and repairing damaged vehicle body panels, frames and structural components.
- Using body alignment and measuring equipment to restore vehicle body dimensions and alignment.
- Repairing dents and damaged panels using appropriate panel beating techniques and equipment.
- Cutting, welding and joining replacement sections and panels where required.
- Fitting and aligning replacement panels, doors, bonnets, guards and other body components.
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and specialised panel repair equipment.
- Preparing repaired surfaces and panels for subsequent finishing and painting.
- Checking repaired vehicles to ensure panels, components and body structures are correctly aligned and fitted.
- Ensuring repairs are completed according to manufacturer specifications and required safety standards.
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this position, applicants should have:
- A relevant Certificate III, Certificate IV or equivalent qualification in Automotive Body Repair Technology, Panel Beating or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Panelbeater.
- Demonstrated experience in vehicle body and collision repairs.
- Strong skills in repairing and replacing damaged vehicle panels and body components.
- Experience in panel straightening, body alignment, welding and fitting replacement panels.
- Ability to use panel beating tools, welding equipment and specialised body repair equipment.
- Ability to accurately assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
