With the current growth, Street Machine Garage is seeking a passionate and dedicated employee who thrives in the automotive industry. This position will be located in Coomera, Gold Coast and hired on a casual or full time basis depending on the applicant.
You will work closely with a small team, with a outstanding culture and the ability to work as a team and unsupervised. Our workshop is equipped with some of the latest tools, equipment and facilities to assist you in producing the highest quality of work. Your expertise with rust work repairs and welding will go a long way in this role.
About the role
The successful applicant will be supporting the team in automotive repairs and builds. This position will be heavily involved with rust repair, drilling, sanding and grinding, body work and body preparation in the car restoration business.
We’re seeking someone who takes pride in precision and consistently delivers work to the highest standard, with a keen eye for detail across every stage of the customization process.
The following tasks will be required:
· Assessing damaged vehicles and deciding on best approach to complete work
- Using specialised tools and equipment to carry out repairs
- Performing quality control including final work checks
- Following OHS requirements to complete work in an appropriate manner
- Completing records and reports in relation to work carried out
What we are looking for: · Experience working as a Panel Beater
- Spraypainting knowledge or experience would be advantageous
- A keen eye for detail
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Good time management skills and be able to take direction.
- Can work autonomously and apart of a team
- Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements
To be successful in this role: · The desire and passion for the automotive industry
- Minimum 2 years experience in an automotive repair role
- Fabrication and or Automotive Certificate is highly regarded
- Must hold an Open Drivers Licence
