An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Project Specialist to join an initial 6-month fixed term contract supporting a major payroll transformation initiative. Working within a project-focused setting, you will assist with payroll system integration, data migration, testing, and process improvement activities across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with strong systems experience who enjoys project work, stakeholder engagement, and driving operational efficiencies. This is not a traditional payroll processing role.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the integration and consolidation of multiple payroll systems
- Assist with payroll data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities
- Collaborate with payroll, HR, finance, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration
- Analyse payroll processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and system implementation activities
- Manage and maintain data integrity throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with documenting processes, workflows, and system requirements
- Contribute to project milestones and deliverables within agreed timeframes

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:





- Strong payroll experience with a thorough understanding of payroll legislation and processes
- Previous experience working on payroll system implementations, integrations, or transformation projects
- Experience with payroll data migration, system testing, and process mapping
- Exposure to payroll platforms such as Micropay, PayGlobal, Dayforce, or similar payroll systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage changing priorities within a project environment
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Advanced attention to detail and data accuracy

Highly Desirable

- Previous experience with Micropay
- Experience integrating payroll, HRIS, workforce management, and finance systems
- Exposure to workforce management platforms such as Deputy
- Experience in large, multi-site or complex payroll environments
