About The Role!

A key member of the Policy and Regulation team within the Health Economics Division, the Pharmacist Officer plays an important role in shaping the future of community pharmacy in Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Ahpra-registered pharmacist who is passionate about professional practice, policy and the broader healthcare landscape. Working closely with colleagues across the Guild, Branches, government and industry stakeholders, you will contribute to policy development, professional practice advice, regulatory matters and strategic projects that impact community pharmacy owners across Australia.

You will help coordinate responses to national regulatory matters, contribute to submissions,



policy papers and member resources, support practice-related enquiries, and represent the Guild in stakeholder meetings and working groups. This role offers a rare opportunity to apply your pharmacy expertise in a broader strategic and policy setting while continuing to make a meaningful contribution to the profession.

This role is a full-time, ongoing opportunity based at the Guild's National Secretariat in Barton, ACT.

About You!

- You are an Ahpra registered pharmacist with contemporary experience working in community pharmacy.

- You have contemporary knowledge of the clinical, professional and regulatory framework that supports community pharmacy practice.

- You are passionate about the future of community pharmacy and are interested in contributing to broader policy, regulatory and professional practice discussions.

- You have experience researching, analysing and interpreting complex information and can translate this into practical advice, reports or recommendations.

- Your written and verbal communication skills are highly developed, enabling you to prepare submissions, briefing papers, reports and stakeholder communications.

- You excel at building relationships and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including members, government representatives, industry bodies and healthcare professionals.

- You are highly organised,



demonstrate sound judgement, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Your ability to work collaboratively, show initiative and contribute to continuous improvement will set you up for success in this role.
