About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified Plumber to join our Service Division based from our Mt Thorley premises. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance and regulatory servicing of wet fire protection systems across mining operations throughout the Hunter Valley.
Working closely with clients, you will ensure fire protection systems remain compliant, operational and maintained in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, site requirements and legislative obligations. This role offers a combination of scheduled preventative maintenance, defect identification and rectification works and compliance reporting across a range of mining environments.
The role is a Monday to Friday position, working a minimum of 8 hours per day, with overtime opportunities available and a monthly RDO.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection,
testing and preventative maintenance of wet fire protection systems across mining and industrial sites in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
- Perform servicing, fault finding, repairs and minor installations on fire hydrant systems, hose reels, fire pumps, sprinkler systems, water storage tanks and associated fire protection equipment.
- Identify system defects, provide recommendations for rectification works and assist in the delivery of compliant fire protection solutions.

Experience and Qualifications
- Current Plumbing qualifications and relevant trade licence
- Previous experience in installation or servicing commercial and/or industrial sprinkler systems
- Sound understanding of relevant standards
- Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach
- Valid driver’s licence and White Card
