Principal – Environment

True North Copper | North West Queensland | Hybrid

True North Copper is seeking a Principal – Environment to take a senior, hands-on role leading environmental monitoring, compliance and environmental management across our North West Queensland portfolio.

This is a hands-on, practical role, get out in the field and solve real environmental challenges.

You’ll work across field monitoring, environmental data, regulatory compliance, operational support, approvals and environmental project delivery, working closely with our operational teams and the Head of ESG & Innovation.

The role offers direct ownership of environmental performance across a growing portfolio and helps shape how environmental management is integrated into exploration, project development, and operations.

About True North Copper

True North Copper (ASX) is a North Queensland-focused copper and critical minerals company with a portfolio spanning exploration, project development and operations. Our current focus is growing the Mt Oxide Project through exploration and discovery, while progressing the Cloncurry Copper Project through development studies and its next phase.

We are a small, experienced and hands-on team with a strong focus on our people, culture and working together to safely and responsibly grow, develop and discover.

The role A significant part of the position will be focused on monitoring and compliance, including:

- Owning and undertaking surface water, groundwater, REMP, dust, noise and other environmental monitoring.
- Managing ESDat, environmental data, QA/QC and Environmental Authority compliance checks.
- Coordinating monitoring equipment, inspections and corrective actions.
- Identifying emerging environmental risks, exceedances and potential non-compliances and driving them through to resolution.

You’ll also provide practical environmental support to our operations, including:
- Providing advice on Queensland environmental legislation and Environmental Authority compliance.
- Maintaining environmental management plans,



procedures, registers and GIS records.
- Coordinating regulatory reporting including Annual Returns, NPI/NGERS, PRCP, groundwater, water and waste reporting.
- Coordinating disturbance permitting, rehabilitation, incidents, audits and regulatory inspections.

The position also has a solid project and development component. You will:
- Lead environmental projects, EA amendments, ERC applications and technical studies.
- Coordinate environmental consultants and contractors.
- Provide environmental input into exploration, project development and operational activities.
- Support engagement with Traditional Owners, landholders, regulators and communities.

This role will suit an experienced environmental professional who enjoys being close to the operation and the work.

You’ll need to be comfortable moving between the field, environmental data and compliance systems, operational problem-solving, consultants and regulatory requirements.

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership, identify issues early and work practically with the business to resolve them, not simply identify them.

Location and roster The role is hybrid across Cloncurry, Mt Oxide and home office, with flexibility around the working arrangement depending on the successful candidate and operational requirements.

Roster is flexible based on 8/6 site-based, 5/2, 5/2 and office/home hybrid arrangements.

The position reports directly to the Head of ESG & Innovation.
