We make software and deliver the services that go with it, and our customers use both to run their businesses.
Folio Digital builds Folio, an all-in-one platform that helps insurance brokerages across Australia, Current Zealand, and the Pacific spend less time on administration and more time managing their clients' risk.
The platform brings together CRM, AI-powered document reading and data extraction, and automated workflows for new business, renewals, endorsements, and claims, alongside white-labelled client portals and mobile apps — built on Microsoft's cloud infrastructure and integrated with policy ledger systems like INSIGHT and WinBEAT and the power of Office 365.
As a Product QA Specialist, you’ll help ensure Folio’s features work for the brokerages that rely on them every day. You’ll work with the Product Manager during feature design to validate workflows, identify edge cases and turn requirements into test scenarios. Once a feature is built, you’ll test it before release and help the team understand any remaining risks.
You’ll also help our support team resolve complex customer issues. Folio connects with the systems brokers use to run their businesses, so an issue may involve several workflows or integrations. You’ll investigate what happened, work with engineers where needed and help support reach a clear resolution.
What we are looking for:
- Hands-on experience in insurance broking , with a strong understanding of how brokers manage clients, policies and day-to-day servicing.
- Experience testing software, validating changes or investigating system issues with a structured, detail-focused approach.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 suite, particularly Outlook and the ways teams use it to manage email and documents.
- Practical familiarity with AI tools and an understanding that their outputs need to be checked, especially when they summarise insurance information or draft customer communications.
- The ability to reproduce a problem, gather useful evidence and explain it clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Confidence working with support staff and customers when an issue needs deeper investigation.
- Strong written communication, sound judgement and a practical approach to prioritising work.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving product team and take ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Full working rights within New Zealand
Ideal but not required:
- Experience testing a CRM, broker management system or other insurance software.
- Experience supporting or testing software that integrates with Microsoft 365.
- Experience testing AI features, including document extraction, summaries or generated emails.
- Experience using AI tools to support testing, investigation or documentation.
- Experience with software delivery tools, support platforms or issue trackers such as Azure DevOps, HubSpot or Intercom.
- Experience in a dedicated QA, product support or business analyst role.
