About the role

We are seeking a Production Manager to join our team in Canberra, ACT on a full-time basis. This role is responsible for managing all manufacturing operations in Australia for multiple UAV production lines, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output that meets engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and meeting customer delivery schedules.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role oversees production planning, procurement, logistics, workforce management, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives to support scalable growth in Boresight. The position is accountable for operational excellence, cost control, and alignment between engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams.

What you'll be doing

1. Production Leadership & Strategy

- Lead production teams in Australia.

- Develop and execute strategies to achieve output, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

- Establish and scale UAV production lines to support business growth.

- Partner with Engineering to implement product roadmaps, design changes, and new technologies.

- Build a high-performance culture through leadership, coaching, and workforce development.

2. Production Operations





- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring efficient workflow, resource utilisation, and achievement of production targets.

- Manage schedules, equipment, configuration changes, and operational performance.

- Monitor KPIs and provide performance reporting to the Executive team.

- Maintain production documentation, traceability, and manufacturing standards.

3. Planning, Supply Chain/Procurement & Delivery

- Coordinate with Supply Chain Manager, Engineering, and Production to ensure material availability, production readiness, and on-time delivery.

- Maintain production forecasts, capacity plans, and operational reporting.

What we're looking for A recognised qualification in Production Management or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing multiple production lines and operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated experience managing and leading production teams.

Proficiency with supply chain management systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders

Ability to obtain and hold an AGSVA Security Clearance
