About the Role

Port Pirie Regional Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Projects and Procurement Coordinator to support the effective planning and delivery of Council projects and provide specialist procurement coordination and advice across the organisation. Reporting to the Manager Assets, this full-time role will coordinate project planning, delivery, contract administration, grant administration, procurement activities and budget monitoring across Council.

You will also play a key role in developing and improving Council’s project management and procurement frameworks and supporting the delivery of Council’s capital works and forward procurement programs.

About You

You will be an experienced project, procurement or contract management professional with strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.

You will bring





- demonstrated experience in project, procurement and/or contract management;
- solid planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills;
- sound budgeting and expenditure-monitoring capability;
- strong administrative, analytical and recordkeeping skills;
- the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within required timeframes; and
- well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications and requirements

You will require:
- a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, procurement, contract management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience, expertise and competence;
- a current South Australian Class C Driver’s Licence; and
- a current Construction Industry White Card.

Qualifications or professional accreditation in procurement, contract management, project management or a related field will be highly regarded. The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete Council’s applicablepre-employment requirements, which may include a pre-placement medical examination and other relevant screening or verification requirements. Appointment will also be subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

- coordinate the planning, delivery,



monitoring and reporting of Council projects and capital works programs;
- undertake project, contract and grant administration activities;
- coordinate procurement processes, including tenders, quotations and contract establishment;
- provide procurement advice and support across Council;
- monitor project budgets, contracts, contractor compliance and procurement outcomes; and
- contribute to forward capital works planning, procurement planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
