About the Role

YMAC is currently seeking a full time (37.5 hours per week) Projects IT Analyst join the team in our Perth office on a permanent contract.

The Projects IT Analyst is responsible for the analysis, planning, delivery and monitoring of assigned ICT, digital transformation and business improvement initiatives across YMAC.

The role owns defined project and workstream outputs, including requirements gathering, process analysis, implementation planning, stakeholder engagement, change readiness and outcome reporting. Working with an appropriate level of autonomy within approved scope and delegated authority, the position translates organisational needs into practical, secure and sustainable technology solutions.

The role works closely with YMAC business units, ICT, external service providers and key internal stakeholders to support technology improvements, including workflow automation and the appropriate adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The position is also responsible for maintaining clear documentation of project scope, deliverables, success measures, risks, dependencies and decisions, and escalating matters outside agreed authority, budget, policy or scope.

As part of YMAC’s Capacity Building activities, the role works with participating Prescribed Body Corporates (PBCs) within agreed governance arrangements and documented scope to identify technology needs, improve business processes and deliver sustainable digital solutions that strengthen organisational capability.

About You

You will have experience in project delivery, business analysis, ICT or digital transformation, with the ability to analyse business needs and translate them into practical technology and process solutions.

You will be confident gathering and documenting requirements, analysing processes, developing implementation plans, engaging stakeholders and monitoring project outcomes. You will be comfortable working with a level of autonomy while recognising when issues need to be escalated due to scope, budget, risk, policy or governance requirements.





You will have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across business units, ICT teams, external providers and other stakeholders. An understanding of workflow automation, digital transformation and the appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be highly relevant to the role.

You will be organised and outcomes-focused, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage project documentation, risks, dependencies, decisions and deliverables. You will also be able to work within established governance arrangements when supporting participating PBCs and contribute to technology solutions that build sustainable organisational capability.

Selection Criteria

Experience

- Relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, information systems, business analysis, project management or a related discipline, or significant equivalent practical experience in ICT, digital transformation, business analysis or project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience independently gathering, analysing and documenting complex business requirements and processes, and translating these into practical technology or business-improvement solutions.
- Demonstrated experience owning or leading assigned projects or workstreams across multiple stakeholders, including scope definition, planning, risk and issue management, testing, implementation, change readiness and outcome reporting.
- Demonstrated experience working with business units, technical teams, senior stakeholders and external service providers with sufficient autonomy to make recommendations, progress agreed actions and escalate matters outside delegated authority.
- Experience working within defined governance arrangements, including documenting scope, approvals, risks, decisions, dependencies and escalation pathways for internal or external stakeholder initiatives.

technical specialists and senior decision-makers.
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation and translating business needs into practical solutions.

- Well-developed investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and digital transformation.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement within delegated authority and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to assess change impacts, user readiness, adoption risks and implementation outcomes, and to communicate status, risks, benefits and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.

Knowledge

- Sound knowledge of business analysis and project delivery methodologies and practices.Knowledge and practical application of recognised IT best-practice frameworks and delivery methodologies, including ITIL 4 for IT service management and Agile/Scrum principles for structured delivery, governance and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and contemporary enterprise technology environments.
- Understanding of business process improvement, workflow automation and the appropriate application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.
- Understanding of cyber security, information governance, privacy and risk considerations relevant to technology projects.
- Contemporary knowledge of digital technologies and their application to improve organisational efficiency and service delivery.
- Knowledge of project governance, change management and perks/outcomes monitoring practices applicable to ICT and digital transformation initiatives.

Other Requirements

- Current unrestricted C Class driver's licence.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required, including travel to regional locations and participating PBCs.
