The Opportunity

Therapy House is seeking a qualified and compassionate Provisional Psychologist to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful applicant will provide psychological support services under appropriate professional supervision and contribute to the assessment, treatment planning and delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions for clients presenting with a range of psychological, emotional and behavioural needs.

The position will involve working closely with supervising psychologists and other health professionals to assess client needs, monitor progress, maintain clinical documentation and contribute to the delivery of appropriate psychological services.

This role is suitable for a provisional psychologist who demonstrates strong communication skills, commitment to ethical practice and a willingness to develop professional skills through structured supervision and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct client intake and preliminary psychological assessments under appropriate professional supervision, including gathering and documenting relevant psychological, behavioural and psychosocial information.
- Provide psychological support services to clients under appropriate professional supervision.
- Assist in assessing clients' psychological,



emotional and behavioural needs and contribute to psychological formulation and treatment planning under professional supervision.
- Participate in the delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions and therapeutic activities under appropriate professional supervision.
- Assist with the development, implementation and review of client support and treatment plans.
- Monitor client progress and contribute to the evaluation and documentation of treatment outcomes under qualified supervision.
- Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date client records, clinical notes and treatment documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of psychological reports, client summaries and other professional documentation as required.
- Communicate appropriately with clients, families and relevant support providers regarding psychological support and treatment, within the scope of professional supervision.
- Work collaboratively with supervising psychologists, health practitioners and other professionals within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Attend and contribute to professional supervision sessions, case discussions and team meetings.
- Assist with client appointments, service coordination and administrative activities directly related to psychological service delivery.
- Develop professional skills and clinical practice through supervision, feedback, workplace learning and continuing professional development.
- Maintain compliance with workplace policies, privacy requirements, professional standards and ethical obligations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

- Having a Master’s degree in psychology.
- Current provisional registration with AHPRA .
- At Least 3 years experience in working with families and children.
- Understanding psychological assessment, psychological support practices,



therapeutic approaches and professional standards.
- Knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions and treatment approaches.
- Experience supporting clients through psychological services, counselling or related environments is desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to establish positive, respectful and professional relationships with clients.
- Proven track record for strong documentation, report writing and clinical record-keeping skills.
- Ability to contribute to psychological assessment, treatment planning and monitoring of client progress under professional supervision.
- Commitment to professional development, supervision and continuous improvement of psychological practice.
- Ability to work effectively under professional supervision and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience supporting clients from different cultural and social backgrounds is desirable.
- Ability to speak Persian language is highly desired.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and complying with professional, ethical and privacy standards.
