This is a pool recruitment process (Pool Ref 01197). This pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill permanent, fixed term, secondment, acting/relieving and part-time opportunities as they arise.

There is currently one (1) full time permanent Specified Calling Level 3 position available.

Applicants eligible for full registration and endorsement as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) within the next 12 months are welcome to apply, however can only be appointed to the Specified Calling Level 3 position once full registration and endorsement have been granted.

POSITION OBJECTIVE The WA Police Force Psychology Unit provides specialised psychological services to support the wellbeing, capability and operational readiness of WA Police Force employees.

Psychologists undertake a range of psychological assessment,



intervention and support services including recruitment and suitability assessments, specialised operational assessments, counselling, wellbeing interventions, fitness for duty assessments, risk assessments, psychoeducation and consultation services. The role contributes to individual wellbeing outcomes and organisational capability through the delivery of evidence-based psychological services.

Specified Calling Level 3 Psychologists provide highly specialised and autonomous psychological assessment and intervention services, including professional psychological reports and specialist advice.

Specified Calling Level 2 Psychologists undertake psychological assessments, counselling, wellbeing support and referral services while developing advanced skilled practice capabilities within a supported environment.
