UPA of NSW is building a directly employed casual team of Registered Nurses across Dubbo for Christmas, New Year and beyond.

These are direct UPA employment opportunities—not agency placements. You won’t just be another name filling a shift; you’ll be a UPA employee and part of the team from day one.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Great care is built on trust, consistency and genuine human connection.

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based and resident-focused nursing care, supporting residents to lead active and meaningful lives as independently as possible.



You’ll also provide clinical guidance and support to the wider care team.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Providing clinical nursing care within your scope of practice
- Completing clinical assessments and identifying residents’ clinical care needs
- Contributing to care plans and ensuring identified clinical needs and resident preferences are addressed
- Providing clinical support and advice to the Residential Aged Care team
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records
- Providing clinical reports and recommendations to support positive resident outcomes
- Supporting and supervising care employees to maintain appropriate clinical competencies
- Building positive relationships with residents, families and other health professionals
- Supporting quality, safety and continuous improvement across the home

These responsibilities reflect the clinical practice, care planning and employee-supervision requirements of UPA’s Registered Nurse position.

YOU’LL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

- Are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Hold a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Have at least 12 months’ post-registration experience
- Have a compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people
- Have strong communication, interpersonal and active-listening skills
- Are organised and able to effectively prioritise your workload




- Are reliable and comfortable responding to available shifts
- Hold current Australian working rights
- Can work across a range of days and shift times

Previous residential aged-care experience, experience with LeeCare and Medsig, and current First Aid & CPR are desirable.

BEFORE YOU START

Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of UPA’s required pre-employment checks, which may include:

- National Criminal History Check
- Pre-employment medical assessment
- Evidence of vaccinations required under UPA policy

- Verification of Australian working rights

As this is casual employment, shifts will depend on operational requirements and your availability. Availability for morning, afternoon, night, weekend and public-holiday shifts will be highly regarded.
