The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor to join our passionate and dedicated Quality Assurance team based at our industrial bakery in Glenfield, Auckland NZ.

Reporting to the QA Manager NZ, the QA Supervisor will play a key role in developing, planning, and executing in-plant quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with ARYZTA's quality specifications, standards, legislative requirements, and customer expectations.

This is a 12-month maternity cover fixed-term contract, on a part time basis working 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring quality assurance programs from raw materials through to finished goods.
- Conduct daily audits of quality systems, control checks and processes, and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and accessible QA documentation, manuals, and records.




- Conduct product shelf-life and environmental testing; analyse and distribute lab results in a timely manner.
- Support labelling compliance, allergen and nutrition verification programs.
- Collaborate with Production and R&D; teams to support new product development.
- Investigate internal non-conformances and customer complaints; raise supplier non-conformances and drive timely resolution.
- Provide training and support to team members on quality standards, food safety, and best practices.
- Uphold compliance with ARYZTA Quality Policy, Food Safety, and Product Quality Procedures.

About You:

We are looking for a results driven QA professional with solid attention to detail and a genuine passion for quality and food safety. You will enjoy solving problems, supporting teams, and making a tangible impact on product integrity and customer satisfaction.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience in a similar Quality Assurance role within the food industry is highly desirable.
- A degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and Quality Management Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA-related databases
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- Strong organisation, planning and problem-solving capabilities
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently
