Qualified Carpenter Wanted – Join the JRZ Built Team

JRZ Built is looking for an experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our team in Bundaberg on a full-time basis.

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship, works well within a team, and is committed to completing work safely and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on role offering varied carpentry and construction work across JRZ Built projects.

About the role

As a Qualified Carpenter with JRZ Built, your duties will include:

- Measuring, setting out, and marking out works
- Reading and working from plans and specifications
- Using laser levels and other setting-out equipment
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials and framework
- Building and installing structures, including pergolas, walkways, and stairs
- Using a range of carpentry hand and power tools
- Working at ground level and at heights where required
- Carrying out general carpentry and construction duties
- Working alongside other trades and site personnel
- Supervising and assisting labourers, apprentices and work-experience students when required
- Maintaining a safe, tidy, and productive work area
- Following site procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.

About you We're looking for someone who has:





- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification
- Current Construction White Card
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Experience working as a qualified carpenter
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Strong measuring and setting-out skills
- Confidence using carpentry hand and power tools
- A good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valuable communication and problem-solving skills
- A reliable, positive, and practical approach to work
- Pride in producing quality workmanship.

The position also involves physical site work, manual handling, outdoor work and working at heights where required.
