About the role

As the Quality Assurance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our meat production processes. Reporting to the National Technical & Sustainability Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of QC Coordinator whilst maintaining effective communication with the site operations team to address any issues and guide corrective actions related to food safety and quality.

This is a full-time Monday to Friday however if preparing for an audit or other time restricted duty you may be required to attend outside of normal working hours on occasion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the performance of both QA Coordinators, ensuring they meet quality standards.

- Maintain transparent and effective communication with the site operations team, escalating issues as appropriate and providing guidance on corrective actions.

- Conduct internal audits according to the scheduled plans to ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Ensure calibration and verification activities are conducted on schedule.





- Maintain recipe cards and manufacturing specifications to ensure they are current and reflective of process.

- Lead site 3rd party and customer audits with support from the NTM.

- Lead the HACCP team and conduct monthly meetings for Quality.

- Oversee Approved Supplier Management for the site, ensuring suppliers meet quality standards.

- Ensure the verification schedule is completed by the Quality team monthly.

- Investigate, report on, and follow up on customer and consumer complaints and rejections as they occur.

- Review, interpret, and monitor product and environmental results for compliance with regulatory standards.

- Facilitate food safety and quality training

Skills and Qualifications:

- Degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

- 3 years proven experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in meat production.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to foster a culture of quality and safety.
