Receptionist – Specialist Healthcare | Leadership Potential

We’re looking for more than someone who can run a reception desk. We’re looking for someone who can become a trusted person within our practice. Perth Oral Medicine and Dental Sleep Centre is looking for a warm, capable and emotionally intelligent Receptionist to join our growing specialist team.

This role would suit someone who naturally takes ownership. Someone who notices what needs to be done, follows things through and can be relied upon to keep things moving — even when the day gets busy or something unexpected happens.

You’ll start by learning our practice from the ground up: our patients, clinicians, systems, appointment books and the way our clinics operate. But for the right person, we see this role developing into much more.

We are looking for someone with the potential to grow into a senior, trusted 2IC-style position within our administration team.

That means we’re particularly interested in someone who can build strong relationships, communicate confidently, use good judgement and eventually become a person others naturally turn to for guidance and support.

About the Role

• Be a warm and professional first point of contact for our patients and referrers.

- Coordinate specialist appointment books, confirmations, rescheduling and patient follow-up.
- Take ownership of the day-to-day flow of reception and help keep the clinic running smoothly.
- Communicate closely with clinicians, administration and management.
- Maintain accurate documentation, billing and administrative processes.
- Identify issues, think ahead and follow things through rather than waiting to be asked.
- As you develop, take on greater responsibility and become a trusted support to the wider team and management.

Experience in reception, healthcare or customer service is highly regarded. However, we are equally interested in maturity, judgement, accountability, work ethic and leadership potential.
