Permanent Part-Time | 4–5 Days Per Week | Ivanhoe & Diamond Creek

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a varied role where you can use your clinical skills while also developing experience in general practice, skin cancer medicine and procedural nursing?

The Local Doctor is a growing, multi-site GP and Skin Cancer clinic with practices in Ivanhoe and Diamond Creek. We are looking for a motivated, caring and confident Registered Nurse to join our established clinical team on a permanent part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys variety, working closely with GPs and being actively involved in patient care rather than performing the same duties every day.

The position will be 4–5 days per week, with flexibility to work across both locations and assist with leave coverage when required.

About the role

You will work closely with our GPs and clinical team across a broad range of general practice and skin cancer nursing duties, including:

- Skin imaging and skin check equipment – full training provided
- Assisting with skin cancer procedures, including flaps and grafts and assisting with PDT.
- Wound care and post-procedure management
- Childhood and travel vaccinations
- Health assessments
- Iron infusions
- Emergency patient triage
- ECGs
- Spirometry
- Ear microsuction and ear syringing
- eHealth and patient record maintenance
- Stock monitoring and ordering
- Supporting doctors with the day-to-day clinical needs of the practice

About you We are looking for someone who is clinically capable, organised, approachable and comfortable working in a busy medical practice.

You will have

- Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA




- A minimum of one year's nursing experience
- Robust clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
- Confidence using computers and clinical software
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and training
- A strong understanding of patient confidentiality and professional standards
- Flexibility to work across our Ivanhoe and Diamond Creek clinics

Emergency Department experience is highly regarded and would be particularly valuable given the clinical and procedural nature of the role. Previous General Practice experience is advantageous; however, we are also interested in experienced nurses from other clinical backgrounds who are keen to develop their skills in primary care.
